Our Impact
the gift of early education

Every child deserves access to quality education, and early learning is essential for helping young children reach their full potential.
Sadly, 63% of youth in South Africa live in poverty, limiting their access to early childhood education.

Building preschools opens doors for the most vulnerable children, providing them with opportunities for a brighter future.
Education has the power to transform lives.

Food scarcity also remains one of the biggest challenges in these communities.
At each of our Team Frank Africa (TFA) schools, every child is guaranteed a hot meal every day.
Mothers able to continue education

Lemar is a teenage mother who received her matriculation certificate in December 2024.
She has dreams of pursuing a university education to study economics and accounting.

She expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to continue her studies, knowing her child is in a safe environment and receiving nutritious meals while she attends classes.

Lemar (18 years old) lives with her daughter (3 years old), her mother, her 12-year-old sister, and her grandmother.
Mothers able to seek employment
Mothers were asked about their reasons for choosing a TFA Creche for their child.
They provided three priorities: a safe environment, nutritious meals, and access to educational toys.
our impact on family

Alma Mkansi supports her family by selling vegetables at a roadside stand, while her husband works as a mechanic from home.
However, their home environment is not safe for their two-year-old daughter, Miracle. Miracle is safe at a TFA creche while her parents work.
Their older daughter, Precious, is now in Grade 6 at Matikinya Primary School. She was part of the first TFA graduating class in November 2018.
Alma is a devoted mother of three children.
Community job creation

Once a new school project is chosen based on need, geographic region, and number of children, TFA begins interviews of local contractors to build:
-
2 Classrooms
-
2 Kitchens
-
5 Enviro Loos
This creates employment opportunities for 25+ workers for a period of six months.
On average, each construction worker provides food for seven family members.
