  • Where does Team Frank Africa work?
    We have completed pre-school projects in Mpumalanga Province in South Africa. We have also supported soccer programs for at-risk youth in Kenya, Rwanda, South Africa, Ghana, Togo, Uganda and Nigeria.
  • I don’t currently have the financial means to donate. How else can I help?
    As a small grassroots organization, one of the most important ways you can help is to share our story with friends, family, and coworkers either by word of mouth or by sharing our story on social media. For example, some of our members have designated Team Frank Africa as their “cause of choice” for their birthday, holiday or graduation in lieu of traditional gifts.
  • Where is Team Frank Africa based?
    Team Frank Africa Inc. is based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Team Frank Africa is a registered Canadian Not-For-Profit Corporation established in September of 2017. Team Frank Africa USA Inc became a registered 501(c)(3) charity in the state of Massachusetts in January of 2021.
  • Can I get a tax receipt when I donate in CAD?
    Yes, tax receipts are now available in Canada.
  • How do I donate from the United States? Can I get a tax receipt?
    Yes, you can donate through the website and get a tax receipt. Team Frank Africa USA Inc is a 501(c)(3) with charitable status in the United States. Checks made payable to Team Frank Africa USA Inc. can be made to: 3 Bare Hill Road Groveland, MA 01834
  • Why does Team Frank Africa build preschools?
    Unfortunately, 63% of youth in South Africa live in poverty and do not have access to early childhood education. Early education plays a crucial role in helping young children meet their full potential. Therefore, building preschools creates opportunities for the most vulnerable children.
  • Where does my donation go? How does this support your schools?
    100% of our donations go directly to our projects (school construction, uniforms, soccer balls, school supplies). Each project consists of two classrooms, a kitchen, one borehole, five enviroloos, a playground, a vegetable garden and a fence.
  • What are your funding and administrative costs?
    Team Frank Africa consists of over 100 volunteers. We have no paid staff or office space. 100% of funds raised/donations go directly to the children and the communities we support. All fundraising expenses are donated by our numerous supporters and all travel expenses are the sole responsibility of the individual volunteer.
  • As a young person, how can I help Team Frank Africa?"
    You can organize an event in your area. Please contact teamfrankafrica@gmail.com if you would like further support. Some examples have included organizing high school fundraising initiatives (free dress days, bake sales, sports tournaments). We also accept volunteers for our local fundraising events.
  • I’m a parent or a teacher and would like to help Team Frank Africa build a school. Where do I start?
    We would love your support and invite you to contact teamfrankafrica@gmail.com for information on how we can work together. Whether an individual class or a whole school, Team Frank Africa recognizes the enriching possibilities of a partnership between young students in different countries and the impact of such a connection for everyone involved.
  • How do I stay up-to-date on Team Frank Africa’s upcoming projects? Will I be inundated with emails?
    Please sign up for our mailing list to learn more about what we do. Team Frank Africa promises to send no more than 3 emails per year and to keep your information strictly private. Team Frank Africa is going paperless out of concern for our environment.
